These nationally recognised qualifications in cleaning operations are the training standards in the cleaning industry. The courses are structured so that cleaners already in the industry and those wanting to join the industry will benefit. The training caters to a variety of setting including retail centres, office blocks, health care and aged care and the industry sector. You will also learn about cleaning and maintaining an extensive range of surfaces and materials. In addition you will learn about occupational health and safety, environmental protection, waste control and working effectively in a team.
The courses starts with Certificate II, which is an entry level, and Certificate III which provides for a greater variety in cleaning skills.

What’s the cost?
- The State Government pays incentives to employers who have staff which have completed a qualification in Asset Maintenance.
- The Federal Government is also paying the fees for Job seekers wishing to update or gain Qualifications through the Productivity Places Program starting from April 2008.
How long does the qualification take?
- This will depend on the amount of time you or your employer have chosen to allow every week for training. The training can be delivered in very flexible time frames.
